If you click a link in this article, it might be a referral or an affiliate link, meaning I probably get some money or some form of incentive if you register and eventually use the product. This never impacts my editorial recommendations or decisions – if it’s in, it’s in there because I independently rate it and any review or opinion, whether positive or negative, is not affected by any incentive I may or may not receive.
Grab a free SimplyCook box here – and delivery is free too! Just remember to cancel after the first one.
What is SimplyCook?
SimplyCook is a recipe box subscription service that delivers the spices, seasonings and sauces you need to cook recipes with – just add the fresh ingredients, and off you go!
The recipes are also accompanied by step-by-step instructions and helpful tips. A physical card is sent to you, but all details are available on their website too
How much does it cost?
It is a bit pricey at £9.99 per box – however, you can get a free box with completely free delivery.
How many recipes can I choose from?
At the moment, they have 84 recipes to choose from catering to a wide range of diets.
A personal favourite of mine is the Scandi-Style salmon!
What are the downsides?
Well, given this is a freebie, there are technically no downsides!
However, if we take a wider look at the service as a whole, clearly the fact that you still have to buy all the fresh ingredients is time-consuming.
My advice would be to grab the free box and then cancel.
When can I cancel?
Once the first order has been processed (i.e on its way to you), then you can cancel, even if the first box hasn’t turned up yet.
Are there any better options?
Gousto have a fantastic offer at the moment – you can get up to 83% off if you triple-stack their referral, Save and Savour discount and free delivery for new customers!
Check out more info on that stack in this post.
HelloFresh and Green Chef also do great trial offers!
